Ward Campout

Even though we were camping, I really had a relaxing weekend. We left Hailee with my parents and headed up to the mountains for our ward campout. Bryon did everything. He put set up our tent, then cooked us dinner, & started the campfire. I just sat there and watched. If he needed something, I got it for him. Other than that I did nothing. It was great. Later that night we did some ward stuff. Then we put the kids to bed and stayed up super late talking with 2 couples from our ward. It was really nice getting some adult time that I haven't had in a while (Bryon went hunting for a very very long time). It was fun getting to know them too. The next morning we ate a pancake breakfast provided by our ward. I sat around talking again while Bryon packed everything back up. The kids played for awhile. Then we headed home. I did a whole lot of nothing and it was great!

So fun! Ever since I moved to AZ I haven't gone camping and I've been DYING TO. I know there are "mountains" here to go camping but it still seems weird not going in CO. Maybe this winter here...

Looks like your kids had a ball. I love going to ward functions and John is always like, "are we really going?" I am glad you have some fun couples in your ward. That makes it more motivating to go!

you are funny! that is how i am about camping. and my favorite part of going camping with friends or the ward campout is when the kids go to bed and we can stay up late talking or playing games.

Fun! So why is it that my husband who hunts as much as yours will in NO Way go to our ward Campout? Seriously! Glad you had fun.

Hey when is the Premier of Extreme Makeover Home Edition with Bryon?

Cara-
I totally remember you! How fun, I have no idea how you found/recognized me from my sight, but I'm glad you did. It's always fun to catch up with people from your past. I remember you crushing Chris (yes he is my cousin), and those were the days when I was a wicked little girl hanging out with Mel.
Anyway, your kids are adorable and you look great.
